Fortify benchmarks

Overview

Benchmarks allow you to compare a snapshot or template against a Microsoft Azure tenant to evaluate compliance with policies and actions.

Step-by-Step

• Select either a snapshot (a saved state of a configuration) and/or a template (a predefined set of policies/actions) from the Dashboard tab.

What It Does

• Analyzes the selected snapshot or template against the current state of the Azure tenant.

• Checks if the required policies and actions are present and correctly applied.

• Generates a compliance score, formatted as X out of Y (e.g., 8/10).

• Adds a tile to the right panel for comparison across the entire partner instance.

Outcome

• Helps you quickly identify gaps between your intended security and configuration standards and the actual Azure environment.

• Enables targeted remediation by highlighting specific policies or actions that are missing or misconfigured.

Benchmark Details

Accessing Details

• On the Dashboard tab, select a Benchmark result.

  

• Click a tile under the Benchmark column.

  

• A flyout side panel will open, displaying detailed information specific to your organization.

  

Flyout panel tabs

The side panel features two tabs:

• Drift tab

  • This tab displays the drift between the snapshot/template and the Azure tenant. This is useful for identifying recent deviations and tracking compliance over time.

    

• Policies/Actions tab

  • This tab provides a complete list of all policies and actions defined in the selected snapshot or template, helping you quickly pinpoint discrepancies.

    

Purpose

• Provides deeper visibility into compliance issues.

• Enables more efficient investigation and remediation directly from the dashboard.
