Ask AI - MSFT Agent

Enhancements

Update existing Intune policies without affecting unrelated settings.

You can now add, modify, or remove settings in existing Intune Settings Catalog and Endpoint Security policies through the assistant. The assistant reviews the current policy before making changes and preserves settings that are not part of the request. Approval details show how many settings will be added, modified, or removed, and identify every setting that will be removed. If the policy is changed in the Intune admin center before approval, the assistant prompts you to review the updated policy before proceeding. You can also undo the change after it has been applied.

Fixes

Responses about how changes were applied are now more accurate.

When asked how a change was made, the assistant now references its own record of applied changes instead of relying on general documentation. Responses identify how each change was submitted, which settings were affected, and which attempt succeeded if retries occurred.

Email sign-up and organization join setting changes now apply successfully after approval.

Updates to email-based sign-up settings and controls that prevent users with a verified email address from joining an organization now use the format required by Microsoft, allowing the changes to be applied successfully after approval.

Multi-step workflows now provide clearer status information when a step fails.

If a step in an approved multi-step workflow fails, the assistant indicates whether the workflow has been closed or paused. Paused workflows can be resumed by replying "resume the workflow".

Suggested Intune settings are now validated against the selected policy type.

The assistant now verifies that a setting is supported by the specific Endpoint Security policy type before suggesting it. If the setting is unavailable for that policy type, the assistant explains the limitation and suggests using a Settings Catalog policy instead.
