Enhancements
Disable Anonymous Sharing Links in SharePoint and OneDrive
A new remediation is available to disable SharePoint and OneDrive sharing links that work for anyone who receives them. Applying this remediation changes sharing permissions to authenticated guest users, allowing files to be shared with guests while preventing anonymous access. The remediation supports apply, undo, and continuous compliance monitoring, and undo restores the sharing settings that were in place before the remediation was applied.
Windows Update policy deployment and drift correction
Windows Update for Business device configuration policies can now be successfully deployed and updated from a snapshot. Drift detection and correction for these policies now function as expected.
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint policy deployment and drift correction
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint device configuration policies can now be updated successfully. Drift detection and correction for these policies now function as expected.
SharePoint compliance checks for non-standard Admin URLs
SharePoint-related compliance checks now work correctly in tenants that use a non-standard SharePoint admin site URL. The appropriate admin site is detected automatically during compliance evaluations.
Anonymous sharing link remediation undo improvements
Undo operations for the anonymous sharing link remediation now complete successfully even when the original sharing changes are still propagating across SharePoint sites. Sharing settings are restored in the appropriate order, and retries occur automatically when needed.
Improved retry behavior for remediation actions
Apply and undo actions can now be retried successfully shortly after a previous attempt. Retry requests are processed reliably while safeguards remain in place to prevent accidental duplicate actions.
Improved Intune policy deployment resilience
Intune policy deployments and drift checks now continue successfully when Microsoft temporarily throttles requests. The platform waits for the required interval before retrying the operation.
Clearer messaging for disconnected organizations
Multi-factor authentication and legacy authentication remediations now provide a clear message when an organization no longer has an active connection. This replaces licensing-related error messages that could previously be displayed for disconnected or deleted organizations.
