Ask AI - MSFT Agent

Enhancements

Improved multi-step request planning

The assistant now previews multi-step changes immediately when a request requires several dependent actions, such as creating an application registration or blocking an IP address with a Conditional Access policy. Instead of asking additional clarification questions first, the assistant generates the complete plan and presents it in a single approval card. If a required detail is not specified and there is a clearly safer option, the assistant selects that option and identifies it within the approval card.

Improved handling of numbered responses

When the assistant presents a list of numbered options, you can now respond by entering only the option number (for example, 1 or 2). Previously, these responses could be interpreted as ambiguous, causing the assistant to repeat the list of available options.

Fixes

Resolved an issue when blocking IP addresses with Conditional Access policies

The assistant now correctly handles the required exclusion of a break-glass account when creating Conditional Access policies that block access for all users across all applications. If an existing policy already excludes a break-glass account, the assistant reuses that exclusion automatically. If no suitable exclusion exists, the assistant prompts for the required information before creating the policy. This ensures that the complete policy configuration is included in the approval card and prevents scenarios where related resources were created successfully but the policy creation failed.
